Since 1981 Ron has provided design and consulting services for numerous commercial and industrial clients. Some of the types of services provided have been HVAC system design, plumbing system design, fire sprinkler design, energy studies, equipment evaluations, troubleshooting and redesign of inoperative systems, as well as investigation of existing conditions. Other consulting services include building envelope design for moisture control and management.

Project types include health care facilities, state/county institutions, schools, churches, commercial/industrial facilities, process facilities, office buildings, hotels/resorts and residential/condo-type facilities.

During the past 25 years of experience, Ron has been involved in troubleshooting failed or improperly operating HVAC systems and building envelope failures in commercial, industrial, educational and residential facilities. Additionally, Ron has provided expert testimony as to the systems' failures and developed the required plan of action to correct system deficiencies. In addition, through a series of commissions, Ron has investigated residential and commercial facilities with microbial contamination and written remediation plans.

Through his understanding of moisture movement and migration through constructed envelopes, Ron has been instrumental in identifying building leaks in residential and commercial structures.

1976 to 1981
Brabham, DeBay and Associates
West Palm Beach, Florida

Chief Mechanical Engineer
HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Sprinkler Design

As part of a development team, Ron helped develop the Florida Model Energy Efficiency Code for Building Construction. He designed the physical plant for an entire college campus, as well as for a 400-student classroom building and administrative office building.

As the chief mechanical engineer, Ron supervised the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems for more than 500 million dollars of construction.

1972 to 1976
Adair and Brady, Inc.
West Palm Beach, Florida

Mechanical Design Engineer
HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Sprinkler Design

Designed HVAC and plumbing for two 1200-student junior high schools as well as the major renovation of a high school campus and several school additions. While at Adair and Brady, Ron was exposed to the design of mechanical systems for projects such as high-rise residential towers, office buildings, schools and parking garages. In addition, Ron worked as a member of a survey crew for several development projects.
